Perilous Cities In Oklahoma

As what a published article by the Southwest Journal has stated, Tulsa is one of the most perilous cities in Oklahoma. It has the second highest violent crime rate, including murders, with a 1 in 88 chance of being a victim. In addition, Tulsa has significant property crime, specifically a high number of burglaries.

Idabel is also among the most dangerous cities in Oklahoma and has seen an increase in both violent and property crime rates. It has the highest property crime rate in the state, with a 1 in 15 chance of being a victim. Idabel also ranks fourth in violence and has the highest murder rate statewide.

Anadarko is also one of the most dangerous cities in Oklahoma. It faces high rates of larceny, burglary, and violent crimes. Despite its historical naming mistake, the town has more pressing issues to address.

Also on the list of the most perilous cities in Oklahoma is Ardmore which has seen a surge in crime rates. Both violent and property crimes have increased, with about four violent crimes per week, mainly aggravated assaults.

Ponca City is another one of the most notorious cities in Oklahoma and was once a thriving oil town. However, its population has stagnated over the years, while crime rates have escalated, particularly in robberies and burglaries.

Hugo, Oklahoma, known in the past as a winter home for traveling circuses, has now earned the reputation of being one of the most dangerous places in Oklahoma. The town has high rates of arson and larceny, causing concern for its residents.

Pauls Valley is also on the list of one of the most unsafe places in Oklahoma. It has a high number of burglaries and an average of one property crime per day, even though it has a small population of 6,111.

Del City is also not considered one of the best cities in Oklahoma due to its high crime rate. It has the third highest violent crime rate in the state, with residents facing a 1 in 100 chance of being a victim in 2020. The city also reported 792 property crimes that year.
