Which Cities In Texas You Should Avoid

The article published by the Southwest Journal discusses the most dangerous cities in Texas, such as Odessa and Lubbock. Odessa is considered one of the most dangerous cities in Texas with a high crime rate, stemming from its economic dependence on the oil industry, widespread poverty, and its location along a drug trafficking road.

Lubbock, home to Texas Tech University, is also one of the most unsafe cities in Texas as it also faces challenges related to drug and alcohol abuse, property crimes, and violent offenses. Beaumont is one of the cities in Texas with a rich history and diverse culture, but it struggles with high crime rates, particularly property crimes like burglary and theft.

Houston is also one of the cities in Texas that faces crime-related challenges. Some neighborhoods have high rates of violent crime, drug activity, and gang violence due to the city’s size, diverse population, and economic disparities.

Another one of the most dangerous cities in Texas is San Antonio which is known for its historic sites and River Walk, but it also faces significant crime challenges. Certain areas have high crime rates due to economic disparities, drug trafficking, and gang violence.

Amarillo is also among the cities in Texas with beautiful natural landscapes and a rich cultural heritage, but it also faces high crime rates, particularly in property crime and violent crime areas. Corpus Christi is another one of the cities in Texas that faces significant crime challenges.
