Google launches new smartphones Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G

Google Pixel’s recent launch of Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G have come as good news to many. The much-awaited 5G phone from Google is sure going to be one of the biggest hits of 2020. Google Pixel’s 4a 5G is the 5G version of its 4a model. Google took to its official Twitter handle to announce the launch of Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 phones. 

Specifications of Google Pixel 5

With 6 inches full HD and OLED display (1080×2340). The refresh rate is 90Hz and comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 display protection. Google Pixel 5’s wireless charging facility is one of its top features. It comes with 8 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB storage that can be expanded using a micro SD card. Made of an aluminum body, the Pixel 5 is water and dust resistant. It supports dual SIM cards (eSIM + Nano-SIM). 

The dual rear camera is powered with a 12.2MP primary sensor and 16MP secondary sensor. The front camera is of 8 MP camera. Both selfie and rear camera support 4K video recordings. It supports 4G, 5G with 802.11ac WiFi connectivity standard. It uses Version 5.0 Bluetooth and has a Type-C USB port. It has multiple sensors like ambient light, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, proximity sensor, and a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It uses a 4,080 mAh battery with 18W fast charging + wireless charging. There are 3 microphones and stereo speakers. 

Specifications of Google Pixel 4a 5G 

Comes with a 6.2 inch Full HD OLED display (1080×2340 pixels). The display is protected by Corning Glass 3 protection and the pixel density of the display is 413ppi. It supports dual SIM features with an eSIM and a Nano-SIM. It works on Android 11 and comes with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB storage. The storage cannot be expanded. Coming to its camera specifications, it uses a dual rear camera with a 12.2MP primary sensor and 16MP secondary sensor. The selfie camera is of 8MP. The camera supports 4K video recordings. 

It supports 4G, 5G LTE, and 802.11ac WiFi standard. The Bluetooth is of Version 5.0. There are a Type-C USB port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear. There are more sensors like a barometer, magnetometer, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and ambient light. It has two microphones and stereo speakers. The battery is of 3,885 mAh with 18W fast charging. It does not have a wireless charging facility.

Both the Pixel phones use Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC with a Titan M security chip.
