The company also confirmed that Android smartphones with operating systems starting from Android 6.0 will be given control and access to the new app. The Chinese forum of the company said that OnePlus is currently working on the development of the app. Once the app is launched, it will introduce all the functions.

The company was asked an important question about the earbuds upgrade in non-OnePlus phones and customisation of the double-tap touch feature. In response to this, the company said that they are developing a dedicated app that will be used to manage the audio accessories of OnePlus in the future. The app will support third-party Android smartphones that have Android 6.0 and above. It will also support OnePlus 5, 5T, 3, and 3T models.

OnePlus Buds TWS earbuds are designed to work with Android smartphones. They are compatible with OnePlus phones as well. But right now, the customisation of the double-tap option is available only for OnePlus users.
