The mother of the murdered 3-year-old child whose remains were found burned in the softball field pleaded guilty early this week.
Mother of the Murdered Child Pleaded Guilty
Kristie Haas, the mother of the 3-year-old child, pleaded guilty this week to the death of her young child. She also entered into a plea in three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of abuse of a corpse, according to the statement released by the Delaware Attorney General’s Office.
In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, Kristie Haas will face the mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison. She also agreed to the recommended 30 years in prison but she will face a formal sentence at a later date.
Meanwhile, Brandon Haas, husband of Kristie and stepfather of the child, also pleaded guilty on Friday to child endangerment. Both of them were arrested in October 2020.

According to a report published in Associated Press, Smyrna Police officers found the burned human remains of the 3-year-old child at Smyrna-Clayton Little Lass Softball fields. This is when they responded to the place after they received a call about the discovered human body.
Police officers identified the victim as Emma Grace Cole over a year later. Furthermore, Delaware Attorney General’s Office accused both Kristie and Brandon that they deprived ” Emma of sufficient food and needed medical attention and subjected Emma and her siblings to excessive forced exercise and inappropriate physical discipline.”
