A South Carolina woman was found stabbed to death in a wheelchair outside her home while police officers killed her boyfriend after a confrontation.

South Carolina Woman Was Found Dead in A Wheelchair
The Landrum Police Department responded to an apartment on Monday at around 4:00 a.m. after they received a report of a woman who was found dead in a wheelchair outside her home. The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as 53-year-old Shana McClain.
In a published article in FOX News, an initial report showed that the South Carolina woman suffered from multiple “sharp-edged injuries.” Authorities also identified the suspect as Freddie Edwards, 58 years old. It was found that Edwards and McClain were in a relationship.

Police Authorities Shot and Killed the Suspect
According to a published report in Yahoo News, police officers confronted Edwards who was holding a large butcher knife but he refused to follow the officer’s demands to drop it.
Additionally, officers also tried and attempted to detain Edwards using a Taser and K-9 unit but he was not able to be subdued. Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said that Edwards allegedly charged law enforcement officers.
Wright said, “We tried to deploy a taser on him, it didn’t work, we tried to deploy a dog, and it didn’t work. He started charging the officers and that’s when two of my deputies and a Landrum police officer shot.”
