2 Women Rob Elderly Victims At Manhattan Subway Station

Two women beat and robbed a man and woman in their 60s inside a the elevator of a Greenwich Village subway hub last month.

The ugly incident unfolded at the West 4 Street station at approximately 8 p.m. on Friday, May 26, cops said.

The two female suspects approached the 64-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman inside the subway station’s elevator, before they began punching the victims multiple times in a ferocious attack, the NYPD said.

They then forcibly snatched the man’s cell phone after he tried to snap a pic of his assailants, according to the NYPD.

The women’s efforts to steal evidence of the attack were in vain as the NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspects — one of whom wore bright red pants and a dark T-shirt while her accomplice donned a bright red shirt and dark pants.

The woman in the dark shirt was seen pushing a blue shopping cart after the assault. The victims were taken to Lenox Health Greenwich Village by EMS and were treated for injuries while their attackers fled the scene on a southbound F train, cops said.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/ , or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
