Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced earlier this week that there are $3.3 million will go to tens of thousands of victims of a student loan debt relief scheme.

According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that the troubled Arete Financial Group claimed that they are connected with the U.S. Dept. of Education to deceive people desperately to enroll themselves in their monthly student loan payments.
According to some borrowers, this company said that they will reduce interest charges if the borrowers will send their payments ahead of time but these scammers who scammed some customers didn’t promise any relief.
Arete Financial Group is one of the several companies that announce publicly and launch some campaigns including radio, television, online ads and telemarketing calls promising some customers about loan forgiveness, consolidation and repayments. According to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) despite of the promises, this company failed transactions with the consumers.

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) spokesperson, Nicole Drayton said that there are 37,844 people checks who were scammed by the Arete. The average money is 88$ but it depends o how much the consumers owe in the Arete Financial Group of the company.
