The Newly Release And Approve Michigan Law Can Put Shoplifters To Jail
Have you heard about the Organized Retail Crime Act or the INFORM Act? This is the new released Michigan law. If you are thinking of stealing something from a grocery shop or at the mall, or buying a stolen item from someone could probably put you in a lot of trouble, if you are doing this then you can stop now.
The new Michigan Law can put a shoplifter to jail now. According to Michigan Legislature Section 752.1083,
“Organized retail crime means the theft of retail merchandise from a retail merchant with the intent or purpose of reselling, distributing, or otherwise rendering the retail merchandise in commerce, including the transfer of the stolen retail merchandise to another retail merchant or to any other person personally, through the mail, or through any electronic medium, including the internet, in exchange for anything of value.”
This Organize Retail Crime Act was passed by Governor Rick Snyder way back in 2012. It said that if a person is guilty of a retail crime he/she will be arrested and be in jail.

Shoplifters Can Go To Jail Now: Check Michigan Law Now!
It also have the Organized Crime Act, lawmakers also passed the Michigan Integrity Notification and Fairness in Online Retail Marketplaces (INFORM) Act to help fight against retail fraud. It is backed up by Meijer to make the law possible to happen. According to the report, this act would probably put you a lot of trouble so do not underestimate it.
The legislature always says that,
“Organized retail crime is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 5 years or a fine of $5,000.00 or both.”
So before you steal, think twice and check the law.
