A vehicle was ripped apart in a violent accident in Queens on Saturday morning, killing two people, according to authorities.
The tragedy unfolds early in the morning
A car identified to be a Dodge Challenger was traveling west on the Belt Parkway near Springfield Boulevard in Laurelton when it slammed into a pole after colliding with the side of another car, a Mazda CX-5 at 3:47 a.m., according to police.
The deadly crash killed two unidentified victims riding the Dodge Challenger, a man, and a woman, according to police.

Victims of the high-speed crash
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and discovered the lifeless body of a 29-year-old woman in the passenger seat. The paramedics promptly transported a 35-year-old man to Jamaica Medical Center in critical condition but later died, according to the New York Post.
The 32-year-old driver of the Mazda was found at the scene without sustaining any injuries. She cooperated with the authorities and remained present at the collision site following the crash, police said, according to New York Daily News.
