A new program launched by- Alpha Grand Rapids this program aids works to those unemployed people.
The main mission of Alpha Grand Rapids is to serve men and women who are affected by unplanned pregnancies. This will help people with financial, educational and emotional. According to Alpha Grand Rapids Director Matt Haviland, they are the only pregnancy organization that includes dads in the program. The newly launched program is called Jobs for Life.
This program is nationally recognized as a biblical-based job skills training program for the last two months. What’s good about this is that it is open to all men, with or without children.
Pilot Program To Help Unemployed People Find A Job Launches By Alpha Grand Rapids
One of the first graduating students in the class last fall is Ken Miller, he was previously working as a Taco Boy and earning minimum wage before he was in prison. After he was released from prison way back in 2019, he wanted to be better so he turned to Alpha Grand Rapids. Miller said that this program can boost his confidence which allowed him to find an entry-level job. Alpha Grand Rapids Director Matt Haviland said when they see healthy employment in the community and families are supported financially it probably reduce the crime and criminal activity in the city.
