Since the school vouchers program was passed on Thursday, lawmakers have expressed their opinions regarding the controversial issue.Â
According to Yahoo! Sports, Shapiro supported these school vouchers “as long as they don’t take a dollar out of public schools.”
Others have seconded the motion, especially House Majority Leader Matt Bradford, D-Montgomery. Bradford believes that this program is distracting the government since Pennsylvania struggles with the issue of underfunding poorer districts.Â
Some lawmakers also believe that these school vouchers are in the final process of deliberation.Â
The school vouchers program, or Lifeline scholarships program, has been around Pennsylvania to support poor students. While this school vouchers program is still in the process, it will likely support children seeking better opportunities for their future.Â
