Farm Bill 2023 Could Make SNAP Recipients Struggle to Meet New Requirements
Advocates of hunger-fighting organizations call out that the Farm Bill 2023 could make SNAP recipients struggle to meet new rules. According to Public News Service, Congress is dealing with increasing work requirements, specifically the SNAP recipients, as part of the Farm Bill 2023.
“If they have to work ‘x’ amount of hours a week, if they have to do a certain amount of job searches a week. They’re not going to receive their benefit and that’s how it makes them hungrier when they raise the work requirements,” said Dawn Pierce of Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force, according to the report.
With these changes in the Farm Bill 2023, many Americans could lose their eligibility. The Farm Bill 2023 debate will be set in September and tackles the issue that will change everyone’s lives.
