In a fatal shooting incident in St. Lucie County resulted to a death of a 16-year-old teenager after being shot multiple times. The suspect/suspects of the fatal shooting are yet to be identified.
The fatal shooting happened last July 17, 2023 and took place on Juanita Avenue between North 25th Street and Essex Drive.
Officials were conducting an on-going investigation in regards to the fatal shooting on Juanita Avenue.
Sheriff Ken Mascara named the 16-year-old fatal shooting victim. The 16 year-old teen was identified as Vontreaz Banner, he was shot multiple times during the fatal shooting in Juanita Avenue. Banner unfortunately died.
Though no suspect or suspects of the fatal shooting were caught, the detectives have already released the description of the car the suspect used during the said fatal shooting.
The police recovered the suspected vehicle that the suspect/suspects used in the fatal shooting is a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze sedan with the color dark gray with a dent on the rear driver’s side and dark window tint, the suspected car had the license plate number AM99IM.

Sheriff Ken Mascara said that investigators were searching the area looking for suspects and officials are gathering information from the residents on Kingsley Drive to the north.
CBS12 News reports that according to the mother of Vontreaz Banner, the fatal shooting victim was shot while he was outside their house on Juanita Avenue.
The Sheriff’s spokesperson stated that she do not know whether anyone was already in custody but promised to provide additional update on the fatal shooting case.
