The family, friends, and students of a missing Maryland teacher are organizing community rallies in order to locate the teacher. Mariame Toure Sylla, 59, had been gone since around 8 p.m. According to Greenbelt police, the event occurred on July 29 in the 6500 block of Lake Park Drive in Greenbelt.
Where is Ma’am Sylla?
Sylla, an Ivory Coast immigrant, instructs at Dora Kennedy French Immersion School. Family members and learners are worried about her and have distributed posters throughout the Greenbelt community in the expectation someone else might know the Maryland teacher.
In a Fox News published article, Sylla was described by police as a Black female, around 5’5″ tall and weighing 135 pounds. Friends and family met at Schrom Hills Park at 6 p.m. on Friday night to raise awareness for her missing and lighted candles for the Maryland teacher.
