The San Francisco 49ers’ thrilling preseason victory over the Denver Broncos on Saturday night featured a strong finish from Trey Lance. However, there are considerations about Trey Lance Trade.
According to Audacy, the eighth-year quarterback directed an eight-play, 64-yard game-winning drive that was finished off by a Jake Moody field goal from 32 yards out. His final passing stats were 12-of-18 for 173 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
Did it persuade the general public that Lance has a future with the 49ers? The discussion about Trey Lance Trade is ongoing. One NFL expert, though, isn’t so quick to write off the former No. 3 overall pick.
On Tuesday on “The Morning Roast” on 95.7 The Game, Brian Baldinger said, “Look, you can dress three quarterbacks right now… whatever the order is, whether it’s Sam [Darnold] and Trey, or Trey and Sam.” The 49ers will need one, two, or three quarterbacks to finish the season, according to history, which does not reflect well on the franchise.

According to 49erswebzone, last year, the 49ers went through four quarterbacks. Although Lance started the team’s first game, he was forced to leave after suffering a season-ending ankle injury.
Jimmy Garoppolo took over as the starter, but by the beginning of December, he was hurt.
Many people were surprised when rookie Brock Purdy entered the game and helped the 49ers advance to the NFC Championship Game. But the injury bug struck once more. Early in the playoff game, Purdy’s right elbow’s ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) was torn. Josh Johnson, his backup, had to leave because of a concussion. That ended the Niners’ Super Bowl hopes.
Baldinger continued, “It’s just their history, whether there’s a jinx or a hex or whatever.” “So I don’t see any benefit in putting a ‘for sale’ sign in Trey Lance’s yard. Let the kid hang in there. Maybe he’s got to finish a game. Maybe you need him.
Therefore, if you said, “Let’s go trade him to Green Bay or somebody,” I don’t think you’d get the value for him. I don’t know, but I don’t see that there’s any value in it. So you hold onto him, and if you need him, maybe he could come off the bench this year, and his game gets better than what we have kind of seen this year.
A healthy Purdy was always going to start this year’s Week 1 even though he was healing from an injury. This was made very clear by the 49ers early in the offseason. They are confident in Purdy’s ability to lead Kyle Shanahan’s offense to victory. Last year, they witnessed that.
