Later this year, the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture will offer five in-person and online Income Tax School training courses for Arkansans interested in advanced tax preparation.
According to The Sun-Times, the Cooperative Extension Service’s Community, Professional, and Economic Development division offers the Income Tax School. Each of the two-day courses will inform participants about the most recent changes to the tax code and what to anticipate for the 2024 tax year.
There will be physical training available in four Arkansas cities, including Jonesboro. The Arkansas State University Delta Center for Economic Development, located at 319 University Loop, will host the Jonesboro in-person class on November 13 and 14.

The Zoom-based online course is scheduled for December 6-7. Each class will start at 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
According to GuardOnline, f you sign up before Friday, the course will cost you $270; if you sign up after Friday, the cost is $310. You can register at uada.formstack.com/forms/tax. After the final class, a certificate of attendance will be given.
The schools will be taught by Curtis Davis, a certified public accountant with more than 20 years of tax experience, and Bill Laird, a retired IRS agent.
The IRS has approved The Income Tax School as a provider of continuing education. 16 hours of continuing professional education credit, including two hours in ethics, are available to participants.
