Danelo Cavalcante, a convicted murderer, has escaped from Chester County Prison in Pocopson Township, Pennsylvania.
Chester County prison inmate, Danelo Cavalcante, 34 escaped the prison on Thursday morning.
Federal and local law enforcement are currently engaged in a manhunt to locate the escaped Chester County Prison inmate.
A surveillance video captured the Chester County prison inmate at around 1:43 a.m. on Saturday on the 1800 block of Lenape Road in Pocopson Township, which is about 1.5 miles away from the Chester County prison.
The Chester County prison escapee was seen wearing pants, a white T-shirt, white sneakers, and he carried a backpack.
District Attorney Deb Ryan says that the Chester County prison escapee is an exceptionally threatening individual.
Chester County prison escapee, Cavalcante, was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend, Deborah BrandĂŁo, according to CNN.
The crime took place in 2021, and the Chester County prison escapee was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole just last week, CNN added.
The district attorney provided an update stating that they believe Cavalcante is still close to the prison, within a vicinity of one to two miles from the Chester County Prison. The DA added that they have received over 100 tips regarding the search.
