Two investigations are underway in regards to Cavalcante’s escape at the Chester County prison – one criminal and one internal.
Chester County prison escapee, Cavalcante was convicted of killing his former girlfriend and is also wanted in connection with a separate homicide case in Brazil, CNN reports.
Local schools have implemented extra security measures to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The police have urged anyone with information about the Chester County prison escapee whereabouts to come forward, promising anonymity and a substantial reward for any leads that lead to his capture, CNN added.
