On Saturday, China was on high alert after two ships owned by the United States and Canada passed through the Taiwan Strait according to a military spokesperson.
According to Senior Colonel Shi Yi the Eastern Theatre Command of China’s PLA said that they dispatch naval and air forces to watch them on their entire journey and they will stay on high alert in accordance with the laws and regulations. He is referring to the People’s Liberation Army.
In a report released by The Defense Spot, Shi also added that the troops are on high alert to secure the vicinity of the country and to maintain peace and security in the country. He also wants to have regional peace and stability. That is why, they stay on high alert and plan if they have destructive plans for the country.

Shi also added that the names of the ships were “Johnson” of the United States and “Ottawa” of Canada which hyped up everyone to stay alert on their voyage through the water.
Washington maintains de facto relations with democratic Taiwan and supports the island’s right to determine its own future while diplomatically recognizing Beijing’s superiority over Taipei.
In a report by NDTV, the United States and Western Allies increased their freedom of navigation towards the Taiwan Strait and some parts of the South China Sea considering that they are both international waterways. As for them, their naval vessels are free to cross on these places. However, it makes Beijing angry. That is why they stay on high alert.
