NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration federal scientists have revealed that the 2023 June-August period is the Earth’s hottest summer on record.
The 2023 summer marked the hottest summer on record in the Northern Hemisphere and the warmest winter in the Southern Hemisphere of the globe.
NASA reported that the hottest summer on record has been set due to widespread warmth around the world.
The extreme heat during the said hottest summer on record, worsened wildfires in Canada and Hawaii, as well as caused intense heatwaves in South America, Japan, Europe, and in the US.
The heat experienced during the said hottest summer on record, also potentially contributed to the heavy rainfall in Italy, Greece, and in Central Europe.
