A Todd Chrisley update contained information about how he is now a teacher in prison.
A Todd Chrisley Update
Savannah Chrisley, a reality star, recently revealed a Todd Chrisley update. She shared that her father, Todd Chrisley, is teaching classes in prison. The Todd Chrisley update revealed that one of the classes he is teaching is on financial matters.
The Todd Chrisley update was viewed as ironic considering that both of Savannah’s parents are serving prison sentences after being found guilty of fraud-related charges. The Todd Chrisley update also contained information about how Savannah’s mother, Julie Chrisley, is also keeping busy in prison by teaching real estate courses.
By teaching and taking courses, Todd and Julie can reduce their 19-year prison sentence under the First Step Act, a program enacted in 2018 to aid prisoner rehabilitation which is now known by most people due to the recent Todd Chrisley update.
Savannah expressed gratitude for the reduction in their sentences and also explained along with the Todd Chrisley update, that they receive credits that shorten their sentences for teaching courses.
According to a published article by Page Six, Todd and Julie also have other children from previous marriages.
The First Step Act
In a published article by People, The First Step Act helps prisoners reintegrate into society by allowing them to take and teach courses in prison. Savannah revealed that her parents have taken and taught classes, including a financial class, to earn more credits.
Their attorney believes that their sentences may be further reduced due to upcoming legal proceedings.
