According to the report published by the Daily Caller, in October 05, 2023, an 18-year-old suspect, Dowling was taken into custody on Thursday morning and, following a thorough questioning at the 81st Precinct, prosecutors have formally charged him with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. This tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Monday on Malcolm X Boulevard in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, captured by surveillance footage that reveals a series of events leading to Carson’s untimely demise.
The surveillance footage paints a grim picture of the encounter between Ryan Carson and the 18-year-old suspect. Around 4 a.m., Carson and his girlfriend were peacefully seated at a bus stop when the 18-year-old suspect Dowling, allegedly the assailant, walked past without any apparent interaction. The situation escalated abruptly when, seemingly unprovoked, the18-year-old suspect kicked over several mopeds. Confronted by Carson, the suspect, with a chilling lack of remorse, asked, “What are you looking at?”

The disturbing incident left Carson fatally wounded with three stab wounds, one piercing his heart.
