The organization’s president, Eric Dooley, stated that tools, audio equipment, and lighting equipment for the Festival of Lights had been stolen, even though they were kept in a locked area.
The burglaries of the equipment for the Festival of Lights have resulted in thousands of dollars worth of stolen equipment. The Quincy Police Department has received reports of people breaking into storage trailers and stealing tools and other items that should have been used for the Festival of Lights.
They are investigating the crimes regarding the Festival of Lights and have surveillance footage and license plate readers to assist. The Festival of Lights cannot proceed without retrieving or replacing the stolen items, which would require significant resources.
