The Philadelphia Eagles have traded for safety Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans following their victory over the Miami Dolphins. The Eagles, after acquiring Kevin Byard, will send safety Terrell Edmunds and two draft picks in 2024 to the Titans in exchange.
Kevin Byard is a two-time All-Pro safety. Kevin Byard has also been a key player for his former team which is the Titans.
Kevin Byard being a key player earned them multiple interceptions and defensive captain status. This trade of Kevin Byard fills a need for the Eagles, who have been dealing with injuries in their secondary.
According to a published article by US News, Kevin Byard expressed his gratitude to the Titans organization and fans, while also expressing excitement about joining the Eagles. The Titans, who have struggled in recent games, have taken a step towards rebuilding with this trade of Kevin Byard.
Philadelphia Eagle’s Defense
In a published article by CBS Sports, Byard is expected to immediately improve the Eagles’ defense. Although Byard is in the final year of his contract, the Eagles are going all-in for the 2023 season.
