Arab Student Intentionally Struck by a Car on Stanford Campus
According to source, in a concerning incident at Stanford University, an Arab student was intentionally struck by a car, which school officials are now investigating as a hate crime. The incident occurred on a Friday, shortly before 2 p.m., as the student, identified as Muslim by the school, was crossing Campus Drive near Bowdoin Lane. The student was struck by a car, and the driver callously sped off while yelling, “F— you and your people,” according to Stanford officials who issued a campus alert. The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating this incident, following the standard procedures of the university.
Fortunately, the student, who was struck by a car, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and has been hospitalized. According to the victim’s statement, the driver deliberately made eye contact with him before accelerating.
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s, with short dirty-blond hair, round-framed eyeglasses, and a short beard. The vehicle involved in this incident is reported to be a black Toyota 4Runner from the model year 2015 or newer.

These tensions have escalated following the Hamas attack and Israel’s retaliatory war in Palestinian territories.
Students have been actively participating in walkouts, vigils, sit-ins and rallies to condemn both Israeli and Hamas actions and to mourn those who have been intentionally struck by a car and affected by the violence. To address the increased tension Stanford’s Department of Public Safety has deployed additional security at key locations on campus working to ensure a safe and secure campus environment.
