Tyquell Fields, a suspect in a shooting incident, is scheduled to appear in court on the 9th of January next year after refusing to get off the bus from DC Jail for his supposedly scheduled hearing.
Tyquell Fields’ Rescheduled Trial
Tyquell Fields, 28, is facing charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a pistol without a license for his alleged involvement in a shooting incident. The victim was driving near a McDonald’s when his car was shot at, but he did not see who was shooting which turned out to be Tyquell Fields.
Police obtained video footage showing Tyquell Fields walking in front of a seafood restaurant after the shooting, and an officer identified him because he frequently saw him loitering at a nearby McDonald’s. CCTV footage from McDonald’s also showed Tyquell Fields allegedly firing shots at the victim’s car.
According to a published article by D.C. Witness, at a recent hearing, Tyquell Fields refused to get off the bus from the DC Jail, so the hearing was rescheduled for January 9, 2024.
Shooter At Oxford High School
In a published article by Michigan Advance, a hearing to determine the sentencing of Ethan Crumbley, the 17-year-old shooter at Oxford High School, is ongoing in Oakland County.
The hearing, also known as a Miller hearing, refers to a Supreme Court case establishing that minors cannot be sentenced to life without parole unless they are deemed “irredeemably corrupt” and planned the crime.
Prosecutors must demonstrate that the defendant’s age does not diminish his responsibility to seek this sentence.
