There are five cities in Nevada with the highest crime rates. Sparks, one of the cities in Nevada, with a population of 106,000, has a crime rate similar to that of Reno.
Surprisingly, Elko, another one of the cities in Nevada, despite its small population of 25,000, experiences a significant amount of violent crime. North Las Vegas, also one of the most dangerous cities in Nevada, with a population of approximately 250,000, has a violent crime rate that is twice the national average.
According to a published article by Travel Safe-Abroad, one of the cities in Nevada which is Las Vegas still reports the highest number of crimes in the state.
Reno, another one of the cities in Nevada that made it to the list, with considerably fewer residents than Las Vegas, has recently claimed the top spot as the most dangerous city in Nevada.
Reopening Of A Nevada City Highway
In a published article by CBS News, a suspect barricaded themselves inside a home on Nevada City Highway in Nevada County. Two other suspects left the home while one remained inside.
The highway was closed as negotiations took place. After several hours, the suspect, identified as Jamal Walker, agreed to leave and was arrested.
