Murder of Amie Harwick After Scream Call and Home Struggle
Amie Harwick’s murder occurred after police responded to a scream call. Los Angeles police found Harwick beneath a third-story balcony with fall-related injuries.
Investigation revealed a scuffle inside the home. Detectives also found that Harwick had lately expressed worries about Pursehouse and sought a restraining order. Harwick’s terrible demise occurred after the restraining order expired.

Life Sentence Without Parole for Harwick’s Killer Ex-Lover
Amie Harwick’s ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, convicted in September for throwing her off a balcony in 2020, was sentenced on Wednesday to life in prison without parole. Aged 45, Pursehouse was found guilty of murder and first-degree residential burglary with the special circumstance of lying in wait.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson confirmed that Pursehouse, who killed 38-year-old Harwick by tossing her over a Hollywood Hills balcony on Feb. 15, 2020, will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Harwick succumbed to her injuries at a hospital.
Los Angeles County District Attorney George GascĂłn declared Pursehouse’s conviction in September, justice has been served. His heart goes out to Harwick’s family, who underwent tremendous suffering.
