Omaha is one of Nebraska’s best places to live, but not all neighborhoods are safe. The report explores the city’s hipster and preppy neighborhoods, each with its own identity.
After reviewing 23 communities, the research selected Omaha’s 10 most unsafe neighborhoods. North Omaha, with 86,948, was the worst neighborhood in 2023. North Omaha struggles due to its low median home value and income. Based on median house value and income, Old Market, Southeast Omaha, Florence, Near South, Benson, Aksarben, Downtown, Keystone, and Northwest Omaha are also risky areas.
