Miami Dolphins starting center Connor Williams was placed on season-ending injured reserve after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament against the Titans.
Dolphins Tackle Williams Injured Early, Adding to Offensive Line Woes
Dolphins offensive tackle Williams was injured early, triggering a first-series fumble. Miami’s offensive line injuries are exacerbated by Williams’ loss.
The Dolphins hope veteran left tackle Terron Armstead, who missed the last game due to ankle and knee ailments, will play against the Jets. They are missing four offensive line starters. However, starting right guard Rob Hunt and left guard Isaiah Wynn are out with hamstring and quad injuries.
Tua Tagovailoa blamed backup center Liam Eichenberg for a botched snap, emphasizing the need to adjust without Williams. Despite the loss, Tagovailoa believed he could strengthen the dialog with Eichenberg.

Dolphins Make Moves After Losing Star Center, Navigate Injuries Across the Team
Last March, the Dolphins signed Pro Football Focus’ 2023 top center, Connor Williams, for two years. For his season-long absence, the Dolphins signed Jonotthan Harrison to the active roster and Matt Skura to the practice squad.
Other than the offensive line, the Dolphins have injury worries. Starting safety DeShon Elliott and Jevon Holland are questionable with concussion protocol and knee ailments, respectively, and top playmaker Tyreek Hill injured his ankle in a recent game. The season finale against Buffalo may see linebacker Jerome Baker, who calls plays, return from a knee injury on injured reserve. Coach Mike McDaniel is optimistic and emphasizes preparedness.
