According to  the recent data released by The Killeen Daily Herald, in December 16, 2023, the AAA, drivers in the region particularly in Killeen-Temple-Fort Cavazos area are witnessing a nearly ten-cent decrease since the previous week, reaching an average of $2.47 per gallon on Saturday. This price decline, down 8 cents from last week and 10 cents from the same period last year, reflects a broader trend in the local, state, and national fuel markets.

In the Killeen-Temple-Fort Cavazos region, a closer look at local prices reveals pockets of affordability for motorists. Gasbuddy.com users reported the cheapest regular gasoline at $2.25 per gallon in Killeen-Temple-Fort Cavazos, with notable locations such as H-E-B on Trimmier Road offering competitive rates.

Similarly, Harker Heights saw prices as low as $2.21 per gallon at Exxon/7-Eleven on Farm-to-Market Road 2410. For those with Sam’s Club memberships, special rates at $2.26 per gallon were available.
