Wang Wenbin’s Response To The U.S. Ambassador

China’s spokesperson, Wang Wenbin, responded to remarks made by the US Ambassador to China. Wang Wenbin’s response is directed to Nicholas Burns who commented about China’s influence in the Middle East.

According to a published article by Mehr News Agency, Wang Wenbin emphasized that China has been actively working towards a ceasefire. The safety of civilians in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict was also emphasized by Wang Wenbin.

China has also provided various forms of aid, including financial assistance, food, and medicine, to the people in Gaza, Wang Wenbin added. Wang Wenbin expressed China’s readiness to collaborate with Arab-Islamic nations in supporting the Palestinians in their pursuit of national rights.

Criticism For The United States

In a published article by Al Jazeera, world leaders, international rights groups, and United Nations officials have criticized the United States for vetoing a UN resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The US’s veto and Britain’s abstention led to the failure of the resolution at the UN Security Council. The US’s decision has been condemned as complicity in war crimes by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and as a disgrace by Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh.

Palestine’s UN envoy called the result of the vote “disastrous” and urged those against the destruction and displacement of Palestinians to stand against the war.
