Trump Caught On Tape Pressuring Michigan Officials Not to Certify Election Results
Former President Donald Trump has faced allegations of pressuring two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers in Michigan to refrain from certifying the election results according to a report.
The audio recording, which captured Trump and Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, showed them offering assistance to the election workers in obtaining legal support. The phone call, dated November 17, 2020, involved Trump, McDaniel, and two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers, Monica Palmer and the late William Hartmann.
During the call, Trump purportedly warned the canvassers that certifying the election results would make them look “terrible,” emphasizing the need to “fight for our country.” Additionally, McDaniel reportedly assured the pair that they would be provided with attorneys, with Trump expressing a commitment to handling the situation.
