Sexual Assault Allegations Currently Being Faced By Vin Diesel

Vin Diesel has been entangled in sexual assault allegations after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman who briefly worked as his assistant over a decade ago. Asta Jonasson, who stated the sexual assault allegations, is a film and TV industry worker, claims that Diesel groped her, forcibly kissed her, and masturbated in front of her.

She further justifies the sexual assault allegations by stating that the assault took place just over a week after Diesel and his production company, One Race Productions, hired her while filming Fast Five. Along with the sexual assault allegations, she also accused One Race of firing her the next day in retaliation for resisting Diesel’s advances.

The lawsuit about the sexual assault allegations which is against Diesel lists several causes of action, including sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. One Race and Diesel’s sister, Samantha Vincent, are also listed as codefendants and accused of retaliation, wrongful termination, and negligent supervision and retention in line with the sexual assault allegations.

According to a published article by Law360, Jonasson, who stepped forward and stated the sexual assault allegations, argues that she remained silent for years, afraid to speak out against one of the world’s highest-grossing actors, fearing ostracization from the industry.

Jonasson claims that she was hired on Sept. 2, 2010, and flew out to Atlanta, where Fast Five was being filmed. The sexual assault allegations occurred just over a week later, on Sept. 10.

Claims Of Discrimination

In a published article by Vanity Fair, the lawsuit also claims discrimination based on sex/gender, intentional emotional distress, hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and retaliation.

It accuses Diesel and his production of an attempted cover-up and claims that Jonasson has suffered humiliation, emotional distress, and mental and physical pain and anguish.
