A man from Oswego, Illinois was taken into custody after being charged with an attempted first-degree murder.
An Attempted First-Degree Murder Charge
Quijuan Waters, a 21-year-old resident of Oswego, Illinois, has been taken into custody and is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder charge. The attempted first-degree murder charge was due to an incident that occurred on December 26, 2023, when Waters allegedly assaulted a 25-year-old man in a residential area.
The victim of the attempted first-degree murder charge, whose identity remains undisclosed, suffered multiple stab wounds and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Waters was apprehended for his attempted first-degree murder charge by the Chicago Police Department on December 27, 2023, at approximately 11:37 a.m. in the 5600 block of S. Wabash Ave.
According to the Chicago Police Department, before his arrest, aside from an attempted first-degree murder charge, Waters is also accused of shooting and causing serious harm to a 24-year-old male victim less than 15 minutes earlier in the 5600 block of S. Michigan Ave. Waters is awaiting a detention hearing scheduled for his attempted first-degree murder charge on December 29, 2023, at 2600 S. California.
Another Attempted Murder Incident In Chicago
In a published article by CBS News, a woman has been charged with shooting at Chicago police officers who tried to question her in response to a report of an individual carrying a firearm.
The officers approached the woman but she pulled out a gun and shot at them.
