George Sam Elali Admits to Committing Multiple Package Thefts in San Marino, Leading to His Arrest

Recently, Reseda resident George Sam Elali was arrested for stealing packages in San Marino. Elali was arrested when security footage from December 18th showed her stealing. Sgt. Vince Wilson of the San Marino Police Department said Elali drove a blue Toyota Prius throughout these thefts. It was found parked outside a Pasadena residence by investigators and registered to Elali.

After intensive surveillance, police saw Elali leave a partially built residence in the Prius. Authorities questioned him in a parking lot in the 1400 block of E. Colorado Boulevard after following him. Elali was arrested for grand theft, receiving stolen property, and methamphetamine possession after confessing to at least nine package thefts in San Marino. His Prius was seized after the investigation for its role in a crime.

San Marino Police Department investigators ask anyone who believes they were a parcel theft victim to call (626) 300-0720. The San Marino package theft problem has improved with Elali’s arrest.
