Up to $100 for Eligible Verizon Customers in Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
Verizon settled a class action lawsuit alleging possible administrative charge deception for $100 million. The settlement may compensate qualified US Verizon customers who paid an Administrative Charge and/or an Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge between January 1, 2016, and November 8, 2023. Postpaid wireless or internet users who got a lawsuit notice via mail or email should act before April 15 to claim their potential cash compensation.
Verizon denies the lawsuit’s allegations that its fraudulent strategy includes secret administrative charges, but it has agreed to compensate qualified customers up to $100. Verizon has also agreed to clarify the administrative cost in its customer agreement, though it will still charge it. Customers who meet the criteria should earn $15 to $100, depending on their Verizon stay.
Customers must have received Verizon postpaid wireless or data services through contracts and monthly use invoicing to qualify for the class action settlement. The settlement communication should have included an ID and confirmation code for those eligible for payment to make a claim online before the deadline. After settlement, customers will receive checks or electronic payments.
