A Panel Discussion Of Ambassadors

A panel discussion recently happened and featured the current ambassadors of countries such as Australia, France, and Singapore to discuss the United States’ relations with China.

The said counties’ ambassadors who participated in the panel discussion all have previous experience working in or with Beijing.

The panel discussion attended by the said ambassadors was about how the world perceives the relationship between the United States and China and how it affects the rest of the globe.

The panelists of the recent panel discussion are Ambassador Laurent Bili of France, Ambassador Lui Tuck Yew of Singapore, and Ambassador Kevin Rudd of Australia, who is also an expert on China.

According to a published article by C-SPAN, this recent panel discussion is happening at a crucial time in U.S.-China relations.

With recent events like the visit of a Chinese foreign minister to Washington and the upcoming APEC ministerial, the panel discussion was very much needed. The panel discussion will address unresolved issues and share their perspectives on certain topics.

The conversation happening during the panel discussion attended by ambassadors is being moderated by Bay Fang, the president of Radio Free Asia.

A Strategic Competition Between The Two Countries

In a published article by AP News, the US ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns, recently stated that the relationship between the US and China will be characterized by strategic competition in the future.

However, there is still a need for engagement when the interests of both countries align. Nicholas Burns emphasized that the US and China are rivals in terms of national security, economy, and politics on a global scale.
