Montana’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is gearing up for its February payments, providing much-needed support to eligible households. With disbursements ranging up to $1,751, the payments will be distributed over five days, starting on February 2nd and concluding on February 6th. The distribution dates vary based on individual factors such as SNAP case number, account number, Social Security number, or last name.
Payment Criteria and Qualifications
To qualify for SNAP payments in Montana, specific income thresholds must be met. Single-person households must not exceed a net monthly income of $1,215, while larger households, such as an eight-person household, should not surpass a net monthly income of $4,214.
The size of households directly influences the amount of SNAP payments. For instance, single-person households can receive $291 per month, while larger eight-person households may benefit from payments of up to $1,751. Additional funds of $219 per person are added for households exceeding eight members.
SNAP benefits offer flexibility as they can be utilized at various participating locations, including farmers’ markets and grocery stores. These payments are seamlessly loaded onto an electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card each month, providing ease of access for recipients.
