Verizon Price Hike For 5G Plans

The Verizon price hike is about the increasing prices on its 5G unlimited plans, including the Get More, Play More, Do More and Start plans. Starting from March 1st, the Verizon price hike will take effect, and users on these plans will see a $4 per line, per month increase.

This is not the first Verizon price hike, as it previously increased rates on older unlimited plans and shared data plans in 2022 and 2021, respectively. The aim of the Verizon price hike appears to be encouraging customers to switch to newer myPlan unlimited plans like Unlimited Ultimate, Plus, and Welcome.

The new plans that are behind the Verizon price hike do not include streaming services or international data roaming days but offer the option to add them for an extra $10 per month. Verizon wants customers to take advantage of the newer plans’ benefits and exclusive savings on entertainment, shopping, and experiences, hence the frequent Verizon price hike.

According to a published article by SmartNews, the spokesperson confirms that the pricing for the newer plans will not be affected despite the Verizon price hike. The Verizon price hike follows in the footsteps of other wireless providers like AT&T and T-Mobile, who have also made price adjustments recently.

“Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge”

In a published article by Android Authority, a monthly “Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge” will still be charged. Customers on the older plans can easily move to the newer myPlan lineup and enjoy exclusive savings on entertainment and shopping options. The price bump only affects the 5G unlimited plans, while the newer plans remain at the same price.
