A Milam County man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for multiple charges of child assault. Jamarr Zamora, the Milam County man, was arrested and charged in 2020 with three counts of assaulting a child.
The trial for the Milam County man’s case was delayed due to the pandemic but was considered a high-priority case. The Milam County man pleaded guilty to the charges with no plea agreement for a lesser sentence.
The district court judge gave the Milam County man the maximum sentence of 20 years for each charge to be served concurrently.
