Living in Calgary is a mix of good and bad things. Living in Calgary is good as it is located in Alberta, Canada, and consistently ranks as the most welcoming city in North America and one of the top 10 globally.
According to a published article in Southwest Journal, living in Calgary is also a good thing since it has a thriving economy, fueled by the oil and gas industry, and provides ample job opportunities.
The city experiences a moderate climate, with average summer temperatures of 22°C and winter temperatures around -12°C which makes living in Calvary less worrisome because of the weather.
Despite the higher cost of living in Calgary, the city offers a high standard of living, family-friendly activities, and a friendly atmosphere for newcomers. Living in Canada is also affordable, with reasonable housing prices, and attractive tax rates.
With a median age of 38 and a population exceeding 1.3 million, living in Calgary would offer a less crowded environment compared to other Canadian cities. Living in Calgary would also mean being close to the Canadian Rocky Mountains, just an hour away, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts.

In a published article by CTV News Calgary, Trey, a man who has been homeless in Calgary for over two years, is currently living under a bridge. He attributes his situation to alcoholism and depression,
although he has been sober for three years.
