A lawsuit about Florida Consumer Practices Act has settled with the Bank Of America.
Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act
Bank of America has settled a class action lawsuit in Florida regarding Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act. According to the settlement, Bank of America allegedly violated Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act by sending out debt communications between 9 pm and 8 am local time.
The settlement for the lawsuit regarding the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act covers any communications received since April 22, 2020, including calls, texts, and other forms of communication.
Additionally, with a settlement regarding the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act lawsuit, Florida residents who received these communications can file a claim form by January 26 to receive up to $500.
According to a published article by The US Sun, eligible class members will be paid based on the number of claims they make, with each member topped out at $500.
Bank of America has admitted no wrongdoing of the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act but must proceed with the payouts to resolve the issue with Florida’s Consumer Collection Practice Act.
