In a report published by Fox3 2, a 39-year-old man arrested for shooting a woman by Chicago police. The 40-year-old woman was shot in the head during a gathering in West Woodlawn. The violent act unfolded at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, sending shockwaves through the community.

The tranquil atmosphere of a home in the 6500 block of S. Langley was shattered as a heated argument escalated, leading the 39-year-old man to draw a handgun and discharge a fatal shot. The incident leads the 39-year-old man arrested for shooting the woman in the head.

The victim, a 40-year-old woman, bore the brunt of the violence, sustaining a critical head injury. Emergency services swiftly transported her to the University of Chicago Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Law enforcement acted promptly, apprehending the alleged shooter at the scene. The identity of the arrested individual has not been disclosed as the investigation unfolds.
