The article by Southwest Journal discusses the most violent cities in the US in 2024, using data from reputable sources and expert analysis. St. Louis, Missouri tops the list of the most violent cities in the US with alarming rates of violent crime, including homicide and armed robbery.

Baltimore, Maryland also ranks high on the list of the most violent cities in the US for violent crime, with gang violence and drug trafficking being major concerns. Detroit, Michigan is also one of the most violent cities in the US, with high rates of robbery and assault due to its struggling economy and high unemployment rates.

Another one of the most violent cities in the US is Memphis, Tennessee which has a high rate of aggravated assault, caused by poverty and gang violence linked to drug trafficking. Oakland, California is also one of the most violent cities in the US which has a violent crime rate of 1,442 per 100,000 residents, which is a significant issue.

Similarly, Kansas City, Missouri is also on the list of the most violent cities in the US which has a violent crime rate of 1,654 per 100,000 residents, making residents often feel unsafe. The most violent cities in the US require multi-faceted approaches to address their crime issues.

Resolutions Regarding The Israel-Gaza War

In a published article by Reuters, around 70 U.S. cities, including Chicago and Seattle, have passed resolutions regarding the Israel-Gaza war. Most of these resolutions call for a ceasefire, putting pressure on President Joe Biden ahead of the November general election to intervene and end the conflict.

Nearly 48 cities have passed symbolic resolutions urging Israel to stop its bombardment of Gaza, while six others have passed resolutions advocating for peace more broadly.
