The Stimulus Check 2024 update on Qualifying for the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC), Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC), and Federal EITC unlocks this financial benefit.
The CalEITC provides $3,529 to low-income Californians earning $30,950 or less in 2023. California households earning $30,931 or less can receive up to $1,117 per qualifying tax return from the Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC). They must be eligible for CalEITC and have a qualifying child under six after the tax year.
The Foster Youth Tax Credit (FYTC) was introduced for 2023, providing up to $1,117 per eligible individual or $2,234 if both the primary taxpayer and spouse are current or former foster youth who were placed in California foster care at age 13 or older.
