Tax season can be daunting for many, but Vermonters can breathe a sigh of relief with the return of the AARP Tax-Aide program. Accessible Assistance for All Vermonters

The AARP Tax-Aide program is designed to alleviate the complexities of tax filing, ensuring that Vermonters receive their rightful refunds without unnecessary stress. According to Laura McDonough, Communications Director at AARP Vermont, the program aims to bridge the gap for those who may overpay, cannot afford professional services, or simply avoid filing altogether.

From now until April 15, Vermonters can schedule in-person or virtual appointments with IRS-certified volunteers through the AARP Tax-Aide program. With 38 in-person sites spread across the state, individuals can conveniently access assistance tailored to their needs, as highlighted on the AARP Foundation’s website.

The AARP Tax-Aide program helped 8,400 Vermonters last year. With its return, the service can continue assisting people to navigate tax season.
