Vancouver man’s actions lead to the arrest of a car theft suspect almost a year later.
It had been almost a year since the scary event at the Vancouver gas station according to the article of FOX 12. Geoffrey Boal, 35, was charged with robbery, theft, and attack. Bill Black did the brave thing on February 22, 2023 and pumped up Boal’s tires to stop him from taking his car. A video on social media says that Black beat up and choked the suspect. Detective Tanya Johnson of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said that the structure Boal’s clothes left behind was very important. Eight months later, the crime lab found Boal’s DNA on the clothes. Johnson praised Black’s strength and drive after the police investigation took a long time.

February 14 Hearing Marks Next Legal Chapter in Intense Vancouver Case
Police say Boal robbed and hit someone in court. The next time he will be heard is February 14. Detective Johnson stressed how important the arrest was for getting the stolen car back and giving justice to Bill Black who was hurt in the carjacking. After months of work the agent was glad to finish the case which shows how important it is for Black people to fight crime.
