The American Civil Rights Project And Californians For Equal Rights Foundation’s Lawsuit

The American Civil Rights Project and the Californians for Equal Rights Foundation have filed a lawsuit against San Francisco and California. The American Civil Rights Project And Californians for Equal Rights Foundation are claiming that they are engaging in racist practices.

As the American Civil Rights Project And Californians for Equal Rights Foundation stated,  San Francisco and California are giving millions of dollars in tax money to three non-profit organizations.

The three programs in question in line with the American Civil Rights Project’s lawsuit are the Black Economic Equity Movement, Guaranteed Income for Trans-People,  and the Abundant Birth Project.

The American Civil Rights Project argues that these programs violate the law by awarding federal funds based on skin color and seeks to halt them until they become non-discriminatory.

Advocates,  along with the American Civil Rights Project also argue that these programs are necessary to support marginalized communities,  while the lawsuit alleges that it is illegal to exclude other ethnicities and races.

According to a published article by SmartNews, another program called the GIFT project is also included in the lawsuit. These programs provide monthly financial support with no obligations or requirements, aiming to address immediate needs and provide some respite for individuals.
